The short answer: mirror your iPhone to AirMirror Pro, choose View → OBS Mode, and add the window to OBS as a Window Capture. OBS Mode removes the menus and borders, so the capture is just the phone's screen with nothing to crop. Turn on Loop Audio and OBS's Desktop Audio picks up the phone's sound.
It is free, and there is no capture card and no cable.
These are the settings a real capture was checked with. Help → OBS Setup in AirMirror Pro shows them too.
[AirMirrorPro.exe]: AirMirror Pro - OBS Mode (Esc to exit).
The iPhone window has a different name, and picking it captures that window instead. To fill a 16:9 scene without black bars, set File → Settings… → Windows → OBS Mode size to 1920 × 1080, another preset such as 1280 × 720 or 1080 × 1920, or a custom size. The OBS Mode window then takes exactly that size. Fit decides what happens when the picture's shape differs: Crop to fill leaves no bars, Fit with bars shows the whole picture. A 16:9 video fills a 1920 × 1080 window with no black on any side, because the bars the iPhone sends around it are trimmed first.
OBS records the window at the size it is on screen. With Match device, drag the window taller for more detail. It keeps the phone's shape while you do.
No. The iPhone's screen and sound come over AirPlay on your Wi-Fi network.
In OBS Mode the window is already exactly the phone's shape. Window Capture takes it as it is, and Game Capture would need cropping.
Turn on Loop Audio (the speaker button) in AirMirror Pro, and check that Desktop Audio is not muted in OBS's mixer.
